I am not going to deep dive on the motivations behind the group producing this advert. I don’t care if they are pro- or anti-gun. It does not matter to make my (and their) point. Guns are dangerous. Kids need to be protected from what they do not know, and from their own curiosity. There are many, many options on the market which allow a firearm to be readily available but still reasonably secure from unauthorized access. Some of them cost hundreds of dollars but many of them do not. Even the more expensive options are cheap compared to the costs (financial too, but that is not my main concern) of an accident. All gun owners need to take reasonable precautions to safely store firearms. That will not look the same for every family or every situation. But do something. Today.
