Why I Am Not A Fan of Purse Carry

It has happened again.  Another child has gotten access to a gun stored off-body, loaded, and ready for action.  Another avoidable gun injury/death.  This time the adult, presumably the mother, died WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.  It is fortunate that no one else was injured.

Off body carry can be done safely.  In certain circumstances it makes sense.  But the cold, hard reality is that too often off-body carry is not done safely or responsibly.  Twice in less than two months we have seen this occur.  It was not too long ago a mother was killed by her child while standing in the checkout line at Wal-Mart.  Firearms are dangerous instruments that must be treated with great care.  Let’s encourage all lawful gun owners to take the necessary precautions to avoid this happening again.
