Mississippi’s AG back in the news

This time it isn’t about having his correspondence to Google written by a private law firm but rather accusations that in exchange for state business a class action law firm paid $100,000 for unnecessary legal work (at $544/hour) to one of the assistant AG attorneys’ wives.  It will be interesting to see if the unsealed documents back up the allegations of quid-pro-quo.  The hourly rate is impressive and puts the attorney in the top 2% of all billing rates in the state (page 17).
