Don’t impersonate a former president to get gun permit

To no one’s surprise, a Chattanooga man’s application for a gun permit in the name of former U.S. President Barack Obama has been denied and now he’s facing charges.

As reported by WRCBtv:

Robert Joseph Hallick was sent a denial letter from the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Handgun Permit Unit on November 19 of 2020, due to an "Adjudicated or Committed Mental Defective and Active Warrant" in Michigan.
On January 21, 2021, the state of Tennessee says that Hallick then sent another completed application form and a $50 check, but used the name of ‘President Barack H. Obama" and forged the former president’s signature on the form.
Hallick also included a letter on U.S. State Department letterhead.
